The coaching classes for the community children are offered in cricket, gymnastics and martial arts. The tennis coaching school and YMCA-SPIC Cricket Foundation promote these sports at national and international levels for children of 17 years old and below. The Lions Club, Rotary Club, Mylapore Academy in cooperation with the college server the different social communities in the field of yoga and sports competitions.
The college has moral responsibility to the community, caters to the need of sister institutions and to many government agencies by extending its services in the following areas by conducting community sports meets, summer learn to swim campaign and adult fitness programmes through walking club.
Cricket Coaching Camp
YMCA College Of Physical Education as pioneering institution in sports and games impart scientific cricket coaching for school students for more than 25 years in order to produce budding cricket stars. So many trainees who trained in YMCA College Cricket Coaching Camp played for national level. The coaching programme was exclusively organized to prepare the young talents during the weekends and in summer.
